The Research About The Concept Of Avant-garde In Western Art History

The concept of "avant-garde" is a very important concept in western art history, it has taken a long time to develop. Generally speaking, the concept of the "avant-garde" is a total statement about all kinds of radical art movement from 1910 to 1945 in western art history .Since it had been brought in art area, it was used in both art area and political area. About 1870s, its using center changed gradually, it was commonly used in art area, it meant all kinds of culture schools which had radical or recreated expression on their own area. About 1920s, it directed every anti-traditional art schools. Then the concept of avant-garde became very popular in 1960s which was used in many areas, and at the same time it also lost its original meaning.
