An Analysis On Western Avant-garde Drama From The End Of 19^th Century To The Middle Of 20^th Century

This report mainly analyzed western avant-garde drama which was born in the end of 19 th century,aiming to solve related theoretical problems,such as its birth and forming,noumenal connotation and aesthetic representation,value,significance,tropism and so on.Firstly,this report gave a theoretical interpretation of the definition and type classification of western avant-garde drama.Secondly,this report studied from two aspects,drama itself and external culture context.From the view of drama itself,this report combed the leading playwrights and their works and the theater proposition of pioneer directors of western avant-garde drama from the end of 19 th century to the middle of 20 th century,making a preliminary conclusion of the its aesthetic representation.From the view of external culture context,this report mainly studied the influence of historical culture context on the forming of western avant-garde drama from five aspects: modern western politics,philosophy,religion,artistic concept and the absorption of eastern culture.Finally,combining with above arguments,this report gives a judgement on the artistic value and social significance of western avant-garde drama.The innovation of this report lies in the adoption of cross-research method,combining specific historical context,aesthetics,politics,philosophy and other humanities that is involved with this topic to study it.By means of large quantity of cross-comparison,the introduction of specific case and the change from the macro perspective of culture to classical artistic works for study and analysis.
