Pierre Bonnard is one of initiators of Nabis at the end of 19th century and the beginning of 20th century in France. Influenced by Paul Gauguin, Impressionism and Japanese Yamato-e, he drew the inspiration from the nature and formed his unique decorative artistic style. He observes the things with a kind of new visual angle to keep the feeling of freshness—the experience of the first glance on his painting. Since he have an particular holding on form and color, his paintings always present a kind of flowery light and color. The optional-looking composition to the ordinary persons actually is the result of precise consideration. Gradient visual angle, segment scene, variational planar space and anamorphic figure made up of his painting language. The flowery color and inimitable art symbols make his paintings present a larruping vision we have never seen. Not only Bonnard's art style is the continuing of impressionism and post-impressionism, but also is the inkling of new modern-art conception in 20th century.
