Pierre Bonnard(hereinafter referred to as Bonnard)was a member of the Nabis Party of France in the late 19 th century and the early 20 th century.He pursued Japanese art with great passion and was deeply influenced by the Japanese decorative style and was called "Japan Nabi".His brilliant colors,unique composition as well as his nimble and jumping strokes are his best decorative language.Bonnard never goes with the flow,always keeps a warm feeling to the painting,in order to convey his unrepentant pursuit to the art.I am filled with deep esteem by his artistic spirit of loyal to the id and loyal to the life.This thesis is divided into five parts: The first part is introduction,which mainly expounds the background,research purpose and significance of this thesis,and clarifies the content of the research.The second part mainly introduces the historical origin of decorative painting,and points out no matter the painting is ancient or modern,no matter the paintings is foreign and domestic,they all have decorative character.The third part generally illustrated the forming reason of the decorative style of Bonnard's works by comparing with the works of the Impressionist Gauguin,the works of Oriental Faux Painting and the works of Vial-Nabi friend.The fourth part analyzes the decorativeness of Bonnard's oil paintings from the aspects of composition,color and brush strokes.The fifth part is the inspiration of the decorativeness of Bonnard's painting to the author's creation.Through the theme,the main content,the creative method,the creative process and the expression of emotion,the author introduces the creation experience of the graduation work "Nap in the Garden".
