Xue Xuan' Understanding And Practice Of Cheng Zhu Li Xue

In the initial stage of Ming Dynasty,cheng zhu Lixue (an idealist philosophy in Song and Ming Dynastes) really became the essential thought of ruling class as the basis of the theories that constructs the dynasty political thoughts. The idea ties up people' thoughts,making people very difficult to carry on an independent thinking,so the ruler comes to a maintenance feudalism. But because the society is debeloping and changing,any thought is impossibly so impregnable. Though the philosophers carefully obey cheng zhu Lixue,all devivated on the different degree. They habe their own understanding and breakthrough and produce certain influence to later philosophy thought.Xue Xuan lives in such an age. No doubt Xue Xuan belongs to Chen' sect. He respects Zhu Xi particularly and thinks "the way of Yao Shun is unclear without confuse,the way of Lian Luo is unknow without Zhu Xi "Xue Xuan,Praised"Xue Fu zi", remains loysl to cheng zhu Li Xue,known as "orthodoxy of LI Xue".but on the other hand, Xue Xuan makes cheng zhu Li Xue's inside contradiction public, reform it and put forward some ideas of materislism. Although he can't break through the hedge lf Li Xue,he can accelerate the kevision of Li Xue and promote the rise of socisl current thought in Ming Dynasty. He is also subjected to the influence of Zhu Lu meeting in Yuan Dynasty. Receiving chen zhu Li Xue,he also introduced some ideas of Lu Xue,including to value a disposition experience, to pursue the ego of moral personality perfect,meanwhile he eritizes the deriation of Lu Xue that becomes Zen and empty realization,trying to correct the deviation by cheng zhu Li Xue.Therefore,te values the ethical relations "descend to learn an effort",thinking to try to reach up to descend to learn necessarily, otherwise there's no way to veach up. So later scholars call him " scholar of practice."The text is totally divided into four parts. Chapter 1 si about the formation of Xue Xuan Li Xue is not accidental. it has a deep thought origin and is subjected to the influence from Cao Duan. Rulling thoughts of Ming Dynasty in the initisl stage also accounts for the formation. It' certain that the formation can not get away from the family influence. Chapter two is about Xue Xuan ' position and influence. Based on the Huang Zongxi evaluation,this chapter clarifies the history fact and evuluates Xue Xuan objectively. It mainly explains that Xue Xuan disseminates cheng zhu Li Xue.and makes stronger the governace of ruling class to have an important function. Because the former researchers didn'specislly investigate the formation of Li Xue thought and Xue Xuan's position and influence. these two parts are arranger in chapter1 and chapter2.Chapter 3 is zbout Xue Xuan ' sunderstanding of cheng zhu Li Xue. The discussion is mainly from four aspects,including manage the gas Taoist Temple,study the phenomena of Nature Mobilizing Theory,The Temperament is Commenton,from which we can know Xue Xuan has a foothold and query about cheng zhu Li Xue,and is subjected to the influence of Lu meeting thoughts deeply,so Xue Xuan's Li Xue thought is filled with antinomy that refleets the socisl reality and the Li Xue development being in conformity with the law. So we have to value XueXuan' antinomy within thought. Chapter 4 is about Xue Xuan'practice of cheng zhu Li Xue,which is mainly a feudalistic morsl practice,that is to say,the practice of the feudalistic key link ethics and the moral cultivation which carries on mind and body. In this part,the author not only involvs to promote solid scholarship;devote an education and criticize civil service exown.and adds the aspect for the government, loving people and daily behaviour and manner in dealing with others. Certainly to promote solid scho larship,the author also carries on some corrections to the former author.
