Both Fei Ming and Hardy, living in the different national environment and times, were rural writers, all of whom keeping a foothold of their homeland and taking their homeland as the development area. Their idyllic color and pastoral flavour fiction highly praised the old-plain, harmonious, peaceful and optimistic scene in the patriarchal clan system society. Their fiction had embodied the feeling that expressed their yearning for idyllic life and eulogizing rural scenery, giving the idyllic ideal with poetic imagination, and expressed their attention to turbulence and dark in real society. Their works revealed sorrowful and dismal feeling in idyllic paean, and also gave the expression to their individual social observation, life thinking and human nature excavation by different traces of the changes of their idyllic ideal.Fei Ming and Hardy's fiction had common mental intention of striding over the space-time about the imagination and beautification of ideal idyllic life, and the yearning and praise for harmonious relationship between human beings and nature. However, the fact that they lived in different times and culture environment, and had different growing experiences and individual learning through practice made them embody distinguished characteristics in expressing idyllic feelings and in writing idyllic ideal. The author has analyzed and commented the different and similar characteristics and the cause of formation of Fei Ming and Hardy's fiction which was embodied in expressing idyllic feelings by making comprehensive combing and integrating to their idyllic pastoral fiction. This article will discuss from four aspects of the following:The introduction has summarized Fei Ming and Hardy's reaserch situation, the focus of reaserch, cause and purpose of this passage.
