By using the theory of gender, this article compares the women sense of these two books in three aspects after briefly introducing the development of women sense revealed in novels of Ming and Qing Dynasty. Based on the comparison and study, this article seeks to find out the differences in ways of manifesting the women sense between these two novels. Furthermore, it expounds the contradiction of the women sense in these two novels and analyzes the reasons which cause the contradiction and its influence on the writer's composing progress. After comparing these two novels in multiple ways, we can find out that the women sense in these two books has different virtues and replenishes each other. These two masterpieces revealed more about women sense and thought more about women than any other previous novels. As men, Cao Xueqin, Li Ruzhen represented women and expressed advanced viewpoints of women. Their works are rebellion against Masculine literature tradition. However, they could not avoid the influence of their society and time and their masculine central consciousness. Their women sense unavoidably failed to contradiction and became nihilism. Even so, on the whole these two masterpieces are still the representative works which strongly revealed Chinese ancient women sense.
