Lin Junqing is an excellent doctor, voice experts and vocalist. He created a miracle on the verge of art and science. The sound practising system founded by him uses the western bel canto teaching experience for reference, incorporates Vocal Music Theory with research achievements from related fields such as physiology, psychology, physics, acoustics, medicine etc. It makes clear the nature of voce faringea, promotes the empirical teaching methodology by researching into the rules involved and improves the relevant theoretical significance of the unconscious recognition and usage in the western world. In the course of practice, a set of systematic steps for practice has been established and a training system of a voce faringea singing has been constructed. As a perfect combination model of science and art, Lin's theory greatly promotes revolutionary change of the vocal art theory and practice. With reference to his life and contribution to music and based on the knowledge of history, music, philosophy, comparative research methods, etc, this paper conducts a comprehensive study on his creation of the method of voce faringea, especially on its connotation and innovative value; analyzes Lin's theoretical writings and the process of setting up the sound system to practice voce faringea; introduces the basic content of voce faringea and its practice on vocal art teaching and the marginalized subjectsand explores in teaching practice the improvement of sound training methods which originates from voce faringea so as to make up for its shortcomings and limitations. From an angle of combining innovation in vocal art theory and science, this study aims to throw some lights on the development of vocal art theory in our country, contribute to the current research and provide opportunities for further research in this field.
