Once the book appears, many novelists follow this pattern and produce lots of imitative works, and in the periods of Qianlong and Guangxu, it comes into being two high tides, even the phenomena of imitation don't disappear until the period of Min. Because the glorious achievement of original works covers the accomplishment of the imitative works, the scholars pay much attention to Liao-zhai-zhi-yi, so that sometimes ignore the existence of imitation. In recent years, researchers have been concerning the phenomena of imitation, however, the whole research gets bogged down in a state of scattered, lacking of profound and comprehensive study. The paper mainly discusses inside regulations in the imitative works of Liao-zhai-zhi-yi, including the mental state, the pattern of writing, the artistic of the works and the ect. Focusing the inheritance of the imitative works, as well as creation, the paper summarizes success and failure of the imitative works, in order to give some apocalypses for the current literature writing.The paper consists four parts. The first part focuses the whole phenomena of imitation, including the contents of the meaning of the imitation in novels, the summarization of the imitative phenomena in literature and the introduction of the imitative works of Liao-zhai-zhi-yi. Due to the large number of the imitations, the paper selects eight typical works such as Ying-chuang-yi-cao and Ye-yu-qiu-deng-lu for study. The second part probes into the background of the writing and the modes of imitation. The former analyzes the factors of the blossoming from two aspects, the spirit in the tradition culture and the temporal taste trend. The latter reveals the different ways of imitation, and also induces the characteristics. The third part is the emphasis of the paper. It analyzes and discusses both the drawbacks and merits of the imitative works from the aspects of narrating techniques, antilogy expressing and aesthetic tendency. Then it shows the reasons for why the imitative works can't come up with the original. The final part compares the imitative works of Liao-zhai with cotemporary novels to fully reveal the imitation's status and influence in the novel history. |
