The Research On "BenJi" Of The New Tang Book

Tang Dynasty, the most developed period of old China, has a shining culture and economic. It influenced the entire Chinese history significantly. And the references which state the Tang Dynasty History are numerous. Even in the 24 History there exists two relative books The New Tang Book and The old tang book. Those two books are very important for us to study the tang and song dynasty's culture. When The New Tang Book was finished , it became the classic history of government and had been accepted by the ruler and ordinary people. However, The Old Tang Book became less popular. And the discussions of advantages between the two books always been referred since then, The Old Tang Book are considered to be more detailed. While Tang Book are more concise and complete although there is some deletion.As for studies of New Tang Book , peoples always pay attention to Lie Zhuan , of their entireties . Though the two books have been studied wonderfully, some questions of Ben Ji in New Tang Book were less concerned before. I am trying to discuss the properties of Ben Ji in it , which may be a little contribution to the studies of two Tang Books .In this paper, we talk about the new book's editing aim , process and remarks,especially the deletion and addition. Though the study, Xin Ji is better and Jiu Shu in the parts of details, history process and regular. Many textual are added into the book especially Ze Tian Shu and Xi Zong Ji , rectify the Gan Zhi Xi's mistakes. Generally speaking, Xin Ji achieve the editor's aim, not less than other parts as Zhi Biao and Zhuan. The old speaking"Ben Ji is the worst", seems not to be fit this time. And it is an important new conclusion from this paper.This work shall discuss the question as 4 aspects as below: 1, the introduction: summarize the tang book's edition, and the comparation of the two books'remarks. 2.Textual research the deletion and addition ,refer the value and confer its origin 3. GanZhi Time System of Ben Ji in Tang Books has been textual researched by us, and give examples to the mistakes of Time System before. Further more we talk about the textual and give some comment of the handwriting of Ben Ji in The New Tang Book.In a word, Xin Ji's edition id fit for scholars of Song Dynasty, Ben Ji is as good as other parts , for example, Zhi, Biao and Zhuan. As a important part of The New Tang Books, it had a good statue and made a great influence to the following history.
