Henan Bantou Tunes is a rarity of culture of Henan, central China and even the whole country. It was once prosperous in central China. But is declining gradually even lost due to economic reform and the change of cultural ecological environment in modern industrial society. It will be of extraordinary significance to carry out deep and systematic study on Bantou Tunes in respects of music cultural heritage protection, theoretical research enriching of Bantou Tunes and the carrying forward of the traditional ethnic culture, etc.The article gives overall and systematic analysis and study on Henan Bantou Tunes in four respects including General Survey, Origin, Basic Music Pattern and Survey and Analysis of Status Quo, and brings forward concrete advice and measures on the protection of Henan Bantou Tunes.
