| Regional Esthetic culture is a certain kind of identification and acknowledgement that people give to the social existence under certain economical condition in certain area, and also the value concept, moral standard as well as aesthetic sense the above reflects. Dialect play is the art facing commonalty, having the aesthetic pursuit all popular art bears. It reflects real life and has capacity of instruction and edification, which can be used better to increase its artistic charm. Just as American mass communication scholar Shlam said:"The distance between TV play and audience is the distance between common people and common people."This is the internal reason why dialect play has social demand. The audience watches in play the life of common people as himself and feels it is his own life. It is the equal interaction between TV play and audience that eliminates the sense of distance, makes audience identify with the performance of characters in play and then engenders appreciation and resonance.Dialect play is a culturally artistic form, which comes from the folk and is popular among people. Based on the past research, this thesis firstly illustrates Ba Shu culture in detail, draw a conclusion to the Esthetic culture characteristic in Ba Shu area: not only the gorgeous and exquisite color of the handicraft, but also the florid and elaborate form of poetic essay in Han Dynasty initiated by Sima Xiangru, and other writers of Shu Kingdom, to just name a few in literature. Then analyses some representative Ba Shu dialect plays such as Foolish Division Commander, Dead Water Billows, Bang-bang Group in Chongqing, Seize Able-bodied Man, and Reeve Wang, and finally elaborates special regional aesthetics on the level of aesthetics. Meanwhile, this thesis explores the aesthetic spirit of Chinese contemporary TV plays and especially reveals the rich meaning and profound effect of regional aesthetic thought in dialect plays.
