The Controversy About Frontier Issue In Beisong Dynasty

Frontier issue has always been a matter of great concern. Because of its Special historical background, there were endless stream of problems of Beisong frontier issues. In the present paper, methods of statistics, induction and generalization were used to straighten out the styles of controversy and decision-making procedures of the frontier issues of Beisong macroscopically, thus contributing to the understanding the mechanisms and stage characteristics of Beisong rulers in the settltment of frontier controversy.This article consists of two parts: preface and body.Significance of topic selection in the present paper was expatiated in preface on the basis of summarizing current situation of research. Issues involved in this paper were also explained at the same time.The body consists of five parts. Several aspects of problems were dissertated as follows respectively.The first part discussed the environment that causes Beisong frontier issues. The relationship between Beisong and its surrounding peoples' power is the external environment of the forming of controversy for it leads to frontier issues directly and indirectly. The internal environment of controversy consists of three aspects as follows: 1) Beisong rulers' awareness of its territory; 2) the national policy of valuing literature while ignoring general and 3) the philosophy of paying great attention to domestic affairs but ignoring foreign affairs in Country-Administering.The second part discussed the basis for the division of three aspects and the content overview of each aspect respectively.The third part summarized seneral ways of controversy such as meeting,refering by according to analyze information.And this part also relate this several ways.The fourth part summarized the way of decision-making in the process of Beisong Dynasty frontier controversy ,which including meeting, sending envoys deliberations,desciding by Emperor (court) directly, Council of Ministers.In the fifth part ,the frontier Controversy of Beisong Dynasty showed characteristics of stage, the North-South lighting, extensive participants of role, lasting for a long time to the sanme problem and so on ,which on the base of analysising the front part of Article as well as controversy materials .
