In 1930s,Yang Shuo ,put all his life to write a new chapter about his times and personal life under the double identities of"a writer"and"a soldier". In particular, as one of representative figures of prose schools as long as the 17 Years, his"poetic prose" once developed into a kind of literary phenomenon in Contemporary Literature History, brought long-term and profound impact on the chinese literary prose. From the 1950s,Yang Shuo's prose had caused many researchers'interests, even formed"Mass Campaigns on Yang Shuo's prose"in 1961-1962 years,1978-1983 years;after the 1990s,re-assessment and reflection to Yang Shuo's prose made"the limitations and shortcomings of Yang Shuo's prose"into an important subject;and in recent years ,the concerns on Yang Shuo's prose gradually had faded out researchers' academic vision in a short span of 30 years, Yang people in different periods has a different assessment and views on Yang Shuo's prose. Whatever people's evaluation and views on Yang Shuo's prose, his prose writing, as a key link in the development of contemporary prose, has formed a historic significance in literature.The paper discusses Yang Shuo's prose with three chapters except the introduction and the conclusion.Introduction: First, through a diachronic perspective, it concisely and objectively analyses the assessments and views to Yang Shuo's prose, to confirm the historic significance of Yang Shuo's prose in literature, and dissertate the necessity to research Yang Shuo's prose, further identified research methods and issues investigated to the paper.Chapter 1: The"Poetry"Pursuit in Yang Shuo's Prose. This chapter, with an analysis of the pursuit on literary aesthetics in Yang Shuo's prose, briefly summed up the stylistic characteristics showed the writing style in the process of the artistic pursuit: poetic style ,sophisticated structure ,poetic rhyme in language ,poetic image in mood.Chapter 2: The Harmony in Appearance and the Confliction in Nature between Theories and Practices in Yang Shuo's Prose. Yang Shuo has progressively formed his own perspectives in prose while writing prose, and deliberately used in his prose practice, gradually formed a unique style in his prose. The chapter ,mainly from the two aspects of Yang Shuo's theory of"poetry"prose and creative practice of"poetry"prose ,focused on demonstrating and researching the relation of correspondence and opposition between the pursuit of literary aesthetics and the political requirements of that times existing in his prose .Chapter 3: The Reason of Formation of Yang Shuo's Prose. This chapter, as an important part of the paper, divided into two aspects of"prose and times and "prose and people"to discuss .It explored the deep and complicated reasons of formation of the style of Yang Shuo's prose, mainly from two different dimensions and angles of the"times"and the"people", to reflect and study complicate and delicate relation between literature creation (especially prose creation)and objective and adjective reasons.Conclusion: To sum up the paper's research significance and research value. Yang Shuo's prose is an outstanding art achievement, a concentrated embodiment of originality in his prose creation. With the distinctive characteristics of the times and the writer's unique artistic features, it plays a key role in Chinese contemporary prose creation for a fairly long period of time. As a double microcosm of that times and the writer's own life, Yang Shuo's prose, showing intertwine and inosculation of the artistic pursuit and the political discourses ,holding a deep social meaning and culture significance ,has an important status and significance in China Contemporary Literature History especially during"the 17 Years".
