Rhythm and blues (R&B for short), is one kind of pop music type that produced in 1940s in the Unite States. It is set up and developed on the foundation of blues music, jazz music, etc music geners by Afro-Americans.In the early days of development, R&B has received widespread welcome by Afro-Americans because of its strong dance music nature; therefore it broke the race boundary and entered the Caucasian culture life domain. As one of main sources of Rock' N' Roll, R&B had the significant influence to the American pop music development course.
