The purpose of this study was to assess the varying doses of exercise on cognitive Stroop performance for senior PE student. The Stroop performance has to sub-test: one was the word-reading test ;one was the color-naming test, If the time of color-reading was longer than word-reading, the Stroop was existed. In this article the word reading has two sub-tests: non-color-word-reading and color-word-reading. The color-naming task has five sub-tests: color-naming; letter-naming; non-color-word-naming, and other color-naming.Fifty college students (M=21.50, SD=0.880) were recruited from Physical Education department at Wuhan Institute of Physical Education. One of the 18 was arranged for pilot study. The other was in the experiment. The purpose of pilot study was to set the varying doses of the intensity through treadmill and Cardiotachometer. The results of the intensity was lower intensity 7km/h. moderate intensity 12km/h. high intensity 18km/h .In experiment, we have the participants follow the three intensity and also survey the years of training , because chronic training has positive impacts on cognitive performance.Results:The basic level of the stroop test was no significant different on varying doses of intensity . The varying doses of intensity have positive impacts on Stroop performance. but the color-naming has significant different. The word-reading did not have the significant different. Word-reading1 T(31)=1.758,P=.089;color-word-reading2 T(31)=-.019,P=.985. The results of color-naming: color-naming of regular color word T(31)=2.891,P=.007; letter naming T(31)=4.481,P=.000。non-color-word-naming1T(31)=2.577,P=.015;non-color-word-naming 2 T(31)=2.932, P=.006;color-naming of non regular color word T(31)=3.432,P=.002。The effects of the varying doses intensity were different. The moderate intensity has more effective influence on color-naming of regular color word(P=.028) letter-naming(.052)and non color word naming1(.009)than lower intensity,but there were no significant different on other tests。The color-naming (P=.001) and non color word naming(P=.004) between high intensity and lower intensity were significant different, but others were has no significant different。The tests between moderate intensity and high intensity has no significant different.The training of years had no significant different on the Stroop task.This article has demonstrated the Stroop test was the executive function not only the inhibition. Also the varying doses of the exercise had a positive influence on Stroop test. but the different intensity has different influence. As for the PE student , the high intensity and the moderate intensity had more effective influence. Last ,the training of years has no significant different on Stroop tests.
