The Study Of Relative Clause In Modern Chinese

Relative clause is a new concept in the domestic Chinese educational world, the correlation research mainly about the "VP+de" structure has been launched for a few years. In this paper, we study relative clause by the perspective of chapter based on previous researches. The full text is divided into five parts:The first part is about the identification of relative clause in Chinese. The analysis subjectivity and objectivity of semantic feature, which indicates that relative clause means the realization of language objectivity in Chinese. There are also typical of the relational mark word in Chinese.The second part describes the simple structure and complicated structure of relative clause in Chinese. Using the figure - background theory, adopting the research approach to compare with, setting about in terms of cultural thinking, it is believed that the preposition of relative clause is decided by the Han ethnic-specific background graphics from the cognitive approach to the decision. The relative clause does not contain information prospects, which is decided by a high degree of Chinese IconicityThe third part discusses relative clause from small sentence level and the relationship between small sentences. In the small sentence level, the incident or condition descript by relative clause also have different information values, which is because the different location of syntax of center noun modified by relative clause. In the relationship between minor sentences level, minor sentence is the effective means of marked back-scene, just restricted by the incident clues, scene settings, and weight debasing.The fourth part comes down to the representation and function of relative clause in chapter. Statistics proportion of syntactic structure in the corpus; analysis the performance of the subject in relative clause, which shows three manifestations are noun, pronoun, and zero form; indicated the relationship between subject and the phrase referred to the centre in relative clause; The end of this chapter is mainly studied relative clause which modified subject has the function of connecting the preceding, and relative clause which modified accusative has the function of connecting the following.The final part is a summary for this paper.
