Japanese sado culture rooted in China, but now it has been existed as a symbolic signal of Japan's traditional culture. The main reason is that Japan did not simply complete copy and imitate in the absorption of China's tea culture, in fact, it experienced a process that the fusion with Japan's national culture, namely localization process. On the base of the available information, the author makes full use of the research of predecessors in the field of Japanese sado, and around the core of the localization of external culture, through the forming process of Japanese sado and the analysis of the spirit of Japanese sado, demonstrate the localization of Japan's tea culture, and then tells us that the capacity of external culture is a unceasing process of enrichment and localization.From the beginning introduction of Chinese tea culture to the final and comprehensive formation, which from Saityo, Kukai, Eityu had taken Chinese tea to Japan to Eisai's How to Stay Healthy by Drinking Tea had been published and Murata shuko, Takeno joo, Senno rikyu had sado been finished, experienced a process that imitate, digestive and constantly create, at the same time, it is also a gradually process of localization to external culture, and the unique spirit which is nurtured by the Japanese sado is also a product of localization to external culture. The shape of the spirit is regard to the Zen, the idea of"Nothing"in the Zen integrated into the sado, made the Japanese sado has a profound energetic connotation. So the unique spirit of Japanese sado is a crystallization of the localization to external culture.The first part of this paper discussed the case of the beginning introduction of Chinese tea culture, it is also the imitation and assimilation process before the formation of Japanese sado. The second part discussed the formation of Japanese sado, which is the start of the localization. The third part analyzed the unique spiritual connotation of sado, indicated that Japanese sado is a achievement which is integrated the Chinese tea culture and Japanese culture.
