This paper will divide the Xiongnu burial and Han tombs which found in theupstream region of the Yellow River into the initial and mid-term stage of the WesternHan Dynasty till to the medium term and the late stage of the Eastern Han Dynastythree periods. On the first in each period the Xiongnu and Han’s graves will becomparative study according to the graves, funeral waves, burial form and funeralobjects. Reach a conclusion in each period the burial of the Xiongnu must havesuffered different degrees of the material culture factor’s conclusion of the Han.Thenthe conclusion of the three time interval will be hackled and found the funeral cultureof the Xiongnu’s were gradually assimilated by the Han’s in the upper regions of theYellow river. The Chinese trend of Xiongnu material culture phenomenon is analyzedfrom two aspects of the external and internal reasons. The first chapter from the tombs of the Xiongnu has been discovered as a startingpoint to analyze the burial custom of the Xiongnu, and summarize the Xiongnu’stypical funerals,It showed as ShuXue tomb, with and without a wooden coffins. Asingle back straight limbs and scarifying some animals and people in tombs. Funeralobjects are the pottery pots, stean, ornaments and weapons mainly from the northerngrassland nomad. The second chapter mainly make a comparison from graves, burialfrom glib and hogget funerary between Xiongnu’s graves and Han’s tombs whichbelonging to the early Western Han Dynasty on the upper reaches of the Yellow Riverarea. The third chapter compares the tombs between Xiongnu’s and Han’s whichbelong to the mid western Han to the Eastern Han on the upstream area of the yellowriver. We found that in this period Xiongnu’s burial has not much changed in the areaof the tombs, burial and funeral. There has been emerged a lot of Dynasty handicraftproducts in the funeral objects, such as bronze mirrors and silk.So in this period ofthe Yellow River upper regions of the Xiongnu’s burial customs have begun togradually absorb the funeral culture factors of the Han ethnic. The fourth chapter onthe comparison of between Xiongnu’s tombs and Han’s burial on the upper area ofthe Yellow River belonging to the Eastern Han Dynasty found that Han Hun Hanfuneral culture factors existed in the Xiongnu’s burial. Such as in this area the Xiongnu’s graves have changed from pit tomb into brick room graves.and gravefuneral objects appeared. Funeral objects in the same section of the unearthed Hantombs, Although there existed the custom of animal sacrificing, significantly lowerthan the former two period, So it can be showed that in this period Xiongnunationality funeral substance has absorbed the extent of the Han nationality could becalled "Chinesize".The fifth chapter we mainly analysis of the process of the Xiongnu burial vulture"Chinesize" and made a conclusion that the reason for such "Chinesize" process canbe divided into in and external. The external reason is mainly due to the centureempires made a great relationship with Xiongnu nationality within geographicalrelation and economic culture hum bar of the Great Wall, so it led to between twonationalities closer political, economic and culture exchanges. The internal reason isdue to the vulnerability of the Hun nationality of its economic led to the Huns in thearea to the economic structure relatively stable development trend of Han nationality.
