It has many unique opinions, and always shows the author's penetrating and correct judgements.This paper can be divided into three parts. First, the paper studies the poetics of Random Notes by Yang Wanli. The author think the centre of the whole Random Notes by Yang Wanli is the"poetic taste"theory. This part contends the origin of the"poetic taste", Yang Wanli's"poetic taste"and the way to"poetic taste". There was the literary notion of"taste"in China long ago. To achieve the purpose of"poetic taste", he thought that poet should be realized and comprehend on the basis of studying the predecessors, so as to throw off constraints and create one's own style.Second, the paper analyzes the Four-six Style in Random Notes by Yang Wanli. In this part he disscussed the subject form literary quotation and words two sides. Because Yang Wanli had studied JiangXi poetry school in his early time, some of his points are similar with JiangXi poetry school, especially about studying predecessor's phrases and sentences. On the aspect of words, Yang Wanli thought that gorgeous words should be elegant, but plain and honest words are also excellent if apply appropriately.Third, the paper analyzes other items in Random Notes by Yang Wanli. Because of the influence of characteristic which the Random Notes itself has and the period background, the Random Notes by Yang Wanli discussed not noly poetry and four-six style but also penmanship, composition and Pamassus anecdote. These opinions contained the author's unique view, reflected the author's character of great ability, humor and wit. And it also provided us precious material of understanding history and society at the same time.
