In Hebei dialect, the sound of the"个"is complicated and worth an academic attention. Until the topic is chosen for our academic interest, this subject has not yet been systematically studied. Based upon detailed on-site survey of dialectal materials, the paper analyses in-depth the sound and phonetic variations of the word."个"in Hebei dialect. The paper includes three chapters, with chapters One classifying independent syllable and syllable combine two kinds mark, while systemly describing the pronunciation of"个"under being not vowel-retroflexion condition; Two classifying independent syllable and syllable combine two kinds mark, while systemly describing the sound change; and Three classifying sound blurring and disappearance, assimilation and cosyllabation, while deeply analyzing the phenomenology and typology of phonetic variations in tongue flow. Through our research, we have several conclusions:Firstly, the sound variation of"个"in tongue flow in Hebei dialect is very complicated. In most individual cases,"个"is consistently pronounced as"k∫". But in some cases, the syllable is independent in tongue flow, and in other cases"个"co-syllabates with the preceding sound to form a new syllable. Viewing from the consonant, the consonant of"个"has the same pronunciation as the it sounds alone, but in some occurrences consonant of"个"disappears in the tongue flow, or converts to consonant such as l,¨,y,k when affected by preceding syllable.Viewing from the vowel, there are mainly three types vowel of"个"involved in tongue flow at Hebei dialects, that is∫, `, B, in∫resemble, it includes∫, P two variants, in B resemble, it includes B, n two variants. Beside that, most of the time in Hebei dialects"个"happens vowel-retroflexion, which is also very complex, in major area its pronounced as j∫q, in some part is read as jq, also in another area is read as j∫′∫q, in several area is read as j∫L, current findings, only at one place, it's read as jh∫q. Secondly, the complicated sound variation of"个"is caused by dialectal tongue flow, i.e., Sound blurring , disappearance, assimilation and cosyllabation. Disappearance is the most common phenomenon in tongue flow at Hebei dialect area. The disappearance of"个"has two kinds changes in tongue flow, one type is the consonant of"个"disappear, in some dialects after"个"vowel-retroflexion, it combing"个"to a new syllable, the vowel of"个"disappear, this is the second type. The assimilation related to "个" in Hebei dialect mainly is that, in tongue flow, the final phoneme of front syllable assimilates the first phoneme in the behind, which has two results, either enhances in the flow or changes the original consonant of"个". Moreover, In the tongue flow in Hebei dialect, has another complicated process when"个"merges with its front syllable, some behaviour is, the consonant of a front syllable or consonant, propagates and the vowel of"个"merge; some behaviour is, a front syllable and the vowel of"个"merge; some behaviour is, the consonant of a front syllable is a cerebral, the process of merging is the consonant of a front syllable and the vowel of"个"merging, at the same time, a ? propagates between the consonant and the vowel during the combination process. Beside that, the combination of"个"and other syllable still has several species condition need to pay attention to: firstly is that in some language area of Jin, when"个"and its front urge tone syllable merges, the throat squeezed consonant tail and is reserved to the new merged syllable; secondly is that the vowel of"个"has changed in the new syllable; thirdly is that even after"个"vowel-retroflexion,"个"and"儿"merge still existents in certain situation, the way is that"儿"with"r"adheres after"个"as a tail vowel; fourthly is some scholars thinking that"两个"read"俩","三个"read"仨"be also one kind of cosyllabation, but"俩","仨"and"个"can be composed of "俩个","仨个"in some Hebei dialects.Sound blurring and disappearance, assimilation and cosyllabation, these three tongue flow phenomenon existent in a great quantity at other terms in Hebei dialect also.
