Song dynasty, in particular the Southern Song period, when was the most prosperous time of Hangzhou, and the West Lake was also exceptionally beautiful. There were many people had lived or stayed in the West Lake .Their emotions, their the official, love and daily life had been closely linked with the West Lake. Song ci of west lake was the word literary style and beautiful landscapes South West Lake this combination of product, which not only reflects the lives of two Songci delight and aesthetic pursuit, and a concentrated expression of the Song Ci that regarding sadness and tendness as beauty.From the five aspects of this study. The first part of the study concentrates on the characteristic of Hangzhou and the West Lake in Song dynasty.The second part focuses on the relation of the author and the West Lake,taking the example of Liu yong,Sushi, Wuwenying and other people,and studying the impact of the west lake on these authors. The third part from the way of apreciation of the works to study the West Lake in songci .The West Lake in song ci was very beautiful, not only in spring, summer, autumn and winter but also in all kinds of weather conditions such as sunny ,raining,moon,dry condition. The whole view of the west lake was beautiful as well as in various scene spots such as Gushan,Sudi,Wushan,Fenglelou, Yuemiao,the Southern and Northern Peak. The fouth part of the study foucs on the deep meaning of the materials in the song ci of the West Lake .The West Lake song ci not only show us the beauty of the West Lake but also the varities of the contents of the society.The traditional themes in the ancient Chinese works such as love,passive living,singing for the government and missing the ancient people and events can all be found in the west lake ci in Song dynasty .The last part concentrates on the art features of the west lake ci. On one hand ,the west lake ci in Song dynasty has the common characteristics of beauty and small scople , on the other hand ,the west lake song ci has its own characteristics just because the vast and vaious writers and the long-time of the Song dynasty and the taste of the different writers. In this paper, I try to put them in these kinds of groups such as elegant leisure,beautiful,happy and joy,big and diligent. In this way, I try to form the main characteristic of the arstic of the West Lake in Song dynasty.
