Deriving from dragon culture, with its particular cultural connotation, sports vitality, and manifestation style, Chinese dragon-brandish has gone around among the people for several thousands of years. It is of lofty artistic value and ethnic wisdom as well as ethos. So it is of great academic and realistic importance to research on the inheritance and innovation of traditional dragon-brandish from the perspective of immaterial cultural heritage so as to make it keep up with modern development and preserve eternal vitality.Applying the methodologies of document, expert-interview and logic inference, basing on the comprehension of dragon culture, this thesis elaborated on the formation and growth of Chinese dragon-brandish and believed that it was a kind of immaterial cultural heritage. And this article proposed on the principles and means for the Inheritance and innovation of traditional dragon-brandish. And we used lotus dragon as example to demonstrate above analysis.The research results: Traditional dragon-brandish is the intensive embodiment of Chinese ethnic spiritual kernel and is one unique immaterial cultural heritage; Hindered by internal and external factors during it's development; Its vitality depends on; Its inheritance and innovation must under the principles of life to innovate unceasingly, sustainability and corporality;The method of inheritance is taking in its elite and eliminating its dross; Its elites include the continuity of living culture,the diversity of inheriting means,the openness of performing style. The innovation must be based on new social life and people's need. The innovation can be carried out from the aspects of culture, form, artistic manifestation, basic action and skill of dragon-brandish.
