Based on the interior design of Dufu Jiang Ge, the first imitation in Changsha of Tang's architecture in memory of Dufu, the great poet in Tang Dynasty, as well as those of its bodily building - Jiang Ge's tea-house, the essay is discussing on the topic that with the tendency to "heritage" Chinese classical architectures and decoration how to understand in a proper way the essence of the interior design with Chinese characteristics which not only keeps the cultural concept of Chinese traditional architectures, but satisfies modern people's multi-lay, diversity, versatile mental and cultural demands, and breathes the breath and life of modern time into the traditional interior design as well.
