Erzhu Group And The Political Situation Of Northern Wei Dynasty

Erzhu group was a military and political group, Erzhurong was the coral leader of this group. The Qihuzu soldiers were the coral military power and other minority soldiers were secondary army with Hanzu soldiers. At the earlier time of northern Wei Dynasty, the government set up a system to defend its safe. This military system gradually became a system melting politics and economy, military in a body. But later period, the capital moved to Luoyang from Pingcheng. The old pattern collapsed, but new pattern had not produced. The people of six military towns and other minorities received serious harms in the changing of pattern. So these people began to find a new way to protect their benefits. The people of six towns start to rebel, at the same time, Erzhu group take another way to reach this goal by cooperating with Northern Wei Dynasty government.This dissertation mainly to describe the history of Erzhu group from uprising to failure, comparing with former research, this dissertation has some new views. First, I think northern Xiurong and southern Xiurong all lied in a valley called Xiurongchuan valley, northern Xiurong lied in the northern valley, southern Xiurong lied in southern valley. Second, I want to find the reason why Erzhu group tribe did not dismiss when the northern Wei government dismissed other tribes. Third, I think the real reason of Huanghe river massacre is that Erzhurong want to become a new emperor, not the contradiction between minority and Hanzu. Fourth, after the Erzhurong controlled the power of government, although he adopted massive measures to protect the benefit of minority, he also took many measures to absorb Hanzu people.In this dissertation, I want to expound the history of Erzhu group and the later period of northern Wei Dynasty. At the same time, I want to find the connection between Erzhu group and northern Wei Dynasty.
