This thesis is an attempt from a new angle of view - the angle of metaphor in cognitive theory. Through the analysis of how metaphors under the semantic system influence the discourse coherence, the paper tries to put forward a integrated systematic model—discourse cognitive integrated model of lexical-grammatical metaphor—to guide the future film subtitle translation. Maybe the new discourse integrated model will become a more effective way to work out the subtitle translation in less time and less labor but with high quality and at the same time to make the audience comprehend better at the price of less effort and appreciate the whole movie.
