The thesis starts with the status quo of visual communication design and its application in our country, from the recognition of visual communication design and its basic requirements and characteristic, analyze the development process, the current reality and the main problem of our visual communication design, to be cognizant that the design quality of today's visual communication design should be improved, meanwhile, the form and the amount of the design, which had been put into our social environment,should be controlled. On these analyses and study, combine with the green design, I would give out my idea on the green transformation of visual communication design, which would import the concepts of the green design to visual communication design. Through the practical analysis and deep theoretical study, I profoundly expounded the meaning of the green transformation of visual communication design and its extension, the theoretical basis and the status quo of research. On this basis, the thesis is focused on researching of practical ways of the green transformation of visual communication design. On the one hand, through the external social environmental construction to improve the people's "green" awareness and gradually establishing a comprehensive visual communication design green assessment system; On the other hand, focusing on upgrading the quality of life of design. Through the rehabilitation of design, to return to its primitive, re-examine the meaning and basic requirements of visual communication design, re-position for China's current visual communication design on the foundation of the nation, the times and cultural. And then through innovative design, cultural design, artistic design and the upgrading of designer quality and the quality of design education, we would gradually developing our visual communication design within rich national personality, concise efficient, artistic and cultural. Optimize the development of visual communication design, to push our visual communication design into a green development process. With a view to promoting the visual communication design into a newer life stages, more scientific and more optimization, to change today's visual pollution into the visual enjoyment, assist in the creation of public green space for the material and cultural life.
