| This thesis aims at researching the Contemporary Fuzhou Chamber of Commerce (CFCC), taking the theory of modernization and the theory of special interest groups as the analytical fundamental theory frame, synthetically making use of the theories and methods related to history, sociology, politics and system-economics. Putting CFCC in the process of modernization, the writer, through summarizing and depicting system background in which CFCC came into being, the development phases, the relationship to market economy, its political participation and social activities in which CFCC participated, attempts to conduct a comparative study and a dynamic analysis to CFCC, trying to make an objective and all-round analysis and judgement to CFCC's historical facts. The thesis takes the view that, in the early process of contemporary Chinese modernization, CFCC played an assisting role of its own, greatly contributed to Fujian's, even China's modernization in economy, politics, society and culture, which became undeniable historical facts. CFCC's historical experience may serve as references to the construction of Fujian economical associations. |
