Research On The Verb Reduplication In ER-NUYING XIONG

This thesis is based on the research of verb reduplication in ER-NUYING XIONG(Sons and daughters heroes tale)novel.By examining the functions of the format(grammatical meanings),its semantic classification and the sentence structure of the verb,and its comparison with some classical work of same category in this book.We have also included some research relevant to the impacts occurred in a grammatical structure like verb reduplication in ER-NU YING XIONG(Sons and daughters heroes tale)this book.The thesis can be divided into 6 parts.First,in this part,the explanation to the topic selection,and the modern times status and value of the ER-NU YING XIONG(Sons and daughters heroes tale).this part also includes and introduction to the modern research work on verb reduplication which has been done by other scholars.Second,this part gives an introduction of different grammar format of the verb reduplication used in ER-NU YING XIONG(Sons and daughters heroes' tale).the pattern of verb reduplication in this book is quite flexible and is indeed quite close to the modern usage of the verb reduplication in Chinese language.After our deep analysis,the verb reduplication classification can be AA type,A le A type,A one A type,(including A le one A type,AX one A type),AA)å„¿type(including A one Aå„¿type),AABB type,ABAB type,AB le AB type, altogether 7 types of different patterns.In this part we have made thorough explanation to all these patterns of verb reduplication structure,and have also made explanations to the occurrence of these patterns in different places.Third,this part basically debates the grammatical meanings of the verb reduplication structure.The other scholars and researchers have some different opinions on this point.We believe the grammatical usage of verb reduplication is a very complex problem;we have to consider different situations and still not an easy job to come out with an exact explanation. Because of its different patterns,and formats the verb reduplication has various meanings differing with its patterns.For instance,we take an example of the same pattern,its appearance in a different language background;changes its meanings also.The usage of verb reduplication in the language is of mono type.But it's the different aspects of analysis that explain it in various ways.After examining ER-NU YING XIONG(Sons and daughters heroes tale)this book,the verb reduplication used in it,can exhibit the of the verbs of actions.Fourth,in this part we have made an introduction to the sentence structure of its one of functions.As our analysis and research concludes,the sentence formation of verb reduplication is predicate,it can also be,subject,object,modifier,adverbial,compliment etc sentence elements.Fifth is the comprehensive closing argument to the above five parts containing the different situations about the verb reduplication in ER-NU YING XIONG(Sons and daughters heroes tale),and has made a quite precise and clear usage important model of verb reduplication from classical Chinese to modern Chinese.
