The Research On Sound Design Of The Four-Dimensional Film

Film can be viewed as a typical one of the four-dimensional space arts. Ever since it's born in 100 years ago, it got more attention than any other art formats at once. From using the photography to the digital technology, film has entered into an era of its best. This essay analyzes the use of film sound in four-dimensional space and extends to the sound use of other four-dimensional space arts.Film has double sides in exhibit moment, one is the picture frame, the other is the sound in hear. The two sides have closely connections with each other. The film sound tells more content in film narrative than the picture can, and the sound in film can increase the complexity in description. Film sound has characteristic feature in film narrative.This research about the sound design mainly uses exoteric research and example research to analyze document collected, in communication theories,physical acoustics,physiology,philosophy and film narrative the essay forms integrated system of the sound technology and art.Compared with other dissertations about the film sound design, this research put forward the concept of film sound design as the fourth dimension like the time dimension. Along with the time dimension film sound making the story in film more sincerely, it can also make the audiences immersed in the film narrative. This dissertation not only enriches the theory research about the four-dimensional space arts, and also provides some reference cases and present research to the film sound design. I also hope this paper can give the research on connection of film sound and picture a new idea.
