Studies As Drama Yuan Changying And Her Poeticized Dramas

Yuan Changying is a very scholar, professor and playwright that should not be forgotten. Fist, fine education in her scholar-gentry family gave her elegance, justice and gentleness; Second, long-term accumulation in school built up her well-knit and systematic knowledge and religious studying attitude full of passions; Third, the spirits deeply affected by other scholars filled her with intensive social responsibility. The three sides are both the reasons and foundation of formation of her poetic writing and theatric style.Chapter two analyzes on the basis of induction, classification and introductory of her all-style writing creation her absorbability and succession of national spirits, aesthetic ideals and qualities of poetry on one hand; and on the other hand his acceptance and innovation of Western cultures and trend of thoughts such as Shakespeare's dramas, theory of psychoanalysis and aestheticism. At the same time, explores how these self-cultivations in art lay a solid foundation of his creation.Chapter three discusses by proceeding with intensivereading of Yuan's texts the charms of her works from three sides: her language characteristics of poeticization, life pursuit embracing poetic sentiment and the poetic and artistic space. A series of portrayals of females, fresh and elegant poeticized words and artistic space with poetic beauty make Yuan's works sending out light of aestheticism. Especially in her representative work the Peacock Flying Southeast, which melts the beauty of poetry and the skills of modern Western drama, provides a new style of creation for modern Chinese drama and has unique art value.Through the discussion on Yuan's poeticized creation, this thesis points out the characteristics as delicacy, gentleness, grace and elegance in her poeticized dramas and displays the unique charm of her dramas. Yuan Changying's dramas full of poetic sentiment add new brilliance to modern Chinese drama, at the same time shows her life pursuit embracing poetic sentiment.
