Yuan Changying is a writer, translator, professor and expert in history of foreign literature has been affected by both of the Chinese traditional Culture and western ideas for long, the influence of the Tang, Song dynasty and European, American society can both been seen on her. During the 20th and 30th in Chinese literary world, there appeared many women writers, but Yuan Changying is one of the extremely rare women playwrights. In Yuan's play, it not only absorbs tenderness nurtured by Chinese culture, arbitrariness advocated by British and French culture and the exquisite emotion of classical Eastern women, but also expresses her unique aesthetic standard and deep artistic conception. This article tries to analyze the feminine and poetic style of her play from the aspect of common property and individuality in macro-culture and under the influence of modern western culture, Chinese traditional culture and the coherence of the two cultures. The unique artistic charm of Yuan's play is also the main content of this article.
