The thesis consists of six parts which are the introduction,the introduction of Chagaan Suld,the sacrificial offering custom of Chagaan Suld,Chagaan Suld and Mongolian culture and thought, the conclusion and the bibliography.In the introduction, the author mainly narrates the research survey about Mongolian Chagaan Suld and explains the goal of the selected topic and the research method.In first chapter, the author introduces the origin and the shape of Mongolian Chagaan Suld. The scholars have the different views about the origin of Mongolian Chagaan Suld. For example, it originated from the ancient natural worship or the totem worship and other viewpoints. According to the archaeological excavations,the shape of Chagaan Suld,the sacrificial offering custom and the memorial ceremony oration, the author insisted that the Mongolian Chagaan Suld originated from the weapon's view of Northern nomadic nations in the ancient time. The author has proven the Chagaan Suld which consecrate by Ushen Tribe and Basod Tribe in Ushen Banner was established in Mongol Empire and introduced the shape of Chagaan Suld and the priests.In second chapter, the author introduces the sacrificial offering process and custom of the daily sacrificial offering,the spring sacrificial offering,the big sacrificial offering in every year and the great sacrificial offering in every nine year.In third chapter, the author analyzes the characteristic of Chagaan Suld that contains Mongolian culture and thought and studies the symbolic significance of white color and "9" in Chagaan Suld. The author also expounds the thought characteristic that Mongolian respect the horse's mane and analyzes the Mongolian soul idea which Chagaan Suld and the sacrificial offering contain.
