The Operating System Of West Han's Official Documents

Official documents stand on the intersection of history, archaeology, documents and archives. In the past, it was often valued by archives. In recent years, with a lot of Han's bamboo slips and wooden tablets were unearthed, specially Juyan bamboo slips and Dunhuang bamboo slips, that contained a large number of local grassroots official documents and that integrated with existing history books and history materials, providing convenience for research of West Han's official documents. West Han was the forming period of official documents. In this period, many kinds of official documents developed and established continuously. Moreover, official documents was specific manifestation of administrant power on reality, and its operating was a important link in the administration system of West Han. Whether the operating of official documents was smooth or not, reflecting the strong and the weak of state controlling power and political situation was stable or not.In this thesis, first I take transferable ways of official documents as classifying standard, and sort official documents of West Han's administration system in three parts to discuss: official documents from emperor to officials, official documents from all rank of officials and official documents intercourse among all rank official. Second, I arrange using and operating situation of each kind official documents: first part is mainly about officials who receive official documents, and the department of preliminary process documents, as well as transmitting to lower level and publishing; second part includes official documents that officials reply to emperor preliminary transmitting department ,the department of preliminary processing some of them, and emperor finally answer over them; third part is about using and operating of official documents in local administration system. Finally, through arranging the operating of West Han's officials documents, I summarize feature in the operating of West Han's officials documents and the influence of this operating system of West Han's administration system.
