Since the 1990s, the soaring marketing economy had pavethe way for China in producing its urban literature to a climax summit degree. Coincidentally, the overall-faceted post-modernism thoughts had poured in, as influenced China dramatically. Chinese urban literature creation, which appeared under such a unique cultural background, optionally learnt nutrition of literature creation in the process of transplanting and referring to western post-modernism discourse, thus bearing many narrative characteristics of western post-modernism novels unavoidably. In the meanwhile, special social background of China and its cultural tradition inherently set its china trait tone. Besides, the writer's identity as well as his theory attainments unavoidably causes his optional absorption and preferable modification for western theory. Naturally, urban literature of China shows partiality for narrative of western post-modernism on one hand, bearing localization and Chinese factor which are not post-modernism. Hereby, my theme based on the research and focus on the above phenomenon.The article falls into five parts. The foreword part gives an outline introduction about research existing state of urban literature, and determines the research object for a better research method and train of thought. The straight matter divides into three parts. It is combined by the text and the case, discussing the post-modern narrative characters, and the variable representation of Chinese urban literature, and researching into reasons at last. The ending part gives a correspondent thinking about the writing direction's changes of the urban literature.First, in the post-modern language environment, there is an open environment to urban literature for colliding and blending of multi--taste. And in the right time, Chinese value notion has changed greatly following the change of the society, especially the striking and corroding to human's spirit and soul of the materialistic on rush. Meanwhile, the post-modernism has broken and overthrown the ideas of main body, sublimity and logos which exist in people's mind. Following, the mundane ideas expend and the constructional thoughts flood. But, the culture also begins to close to commoners. Relevantly, the complication and popularization taste has become a new notion orientation to urban people. Therefore, it creates a cultural environment for urban literature with the effects of the post-modernism, an influential cultural tropism in modern Chinese urban literature, and other spirit orientations emerging in the course of urbanism.Next, the effects of the post-modern notion should be emphasized. With the striking of it, Chinese urban literature has surpassed aesthetic taboo lasting for many years. Urban literature has presented the characters of constructional thoughts and flooding state, and expressed post modern orientations on language style, theme clarification and personality selection on tasting point and narrative strategy. All these characters will be concluded and expounded.Then, it takes some urban writers and their works as examples. All of them are representation of western novels in 90s of last century. It consults the composing phenomenon of western postmodernism, and integrates the aging cultural situation and the writers own factors. It analyses the conceptual misunderstanding of the western postmodernism done by Chinese urban literature works. So, it gets some localized differences. People consider the anti-logos theory as the anti-rationality . As to narrative tactics, they use their own emotional and intervened styles to replace the unconcerned and indulged styles. It also doses some conclusions about the features of the differences when narrating. At the same time, it compares urban literature with the western post-modernized works. Then, it briefly introduces the essence of the differences between them. Also, it shows the lost value and the difficulty in writing which are caused by the differences.Finally, it analyzes the writing object in detail, composing main bodyand supporting theory. It emulates the large differences of the field between China and west countries to research into the reasons of the post modernism changing in Chinese literature.In short, the western post thoughts lead china into a new reading realm, and provide it with new technical supporting and new theoretical backing. For various factors, the variation has appeared in Chinese urban literature's understanding in western theories. Its particular exaggeration of deep assimilating regards the urban writing as purely creating things to be tasted, but neglecting the ultimate goals behind the western "digesting and assimilating" theory which also makes itself into a difficult position of "deep grounding". Being in step with the process of urbanization, urban literature possesses a double meaning-both aesthetics and social culture. In this regard, the article just hopes to provide writers with reference to reflect themselves, so as to re-recognize, re-understand and re-think urban life and furthermore to deeper the aesthetic connotation of the urban writings.
