The photography elective course is opposite one kind of public culture quality class to the specialized photography class and the specialized foundation photography class, it is a General education elective courses which facade to the all students in the university. The photography education not only is a skill education, but also is a aesthetic education. May make the student set up the healthy aesthetic standard and gain the aesthetic ability. Therefore has the necessity to excavate the aesthetic education in the photography education, pro- motes the photography education in all of universities to rich the aesthetic education of universities, thus enhances college students'aesthetic cultivation, lets the university student as being the artist of life, use the aesthetic manner to treat the nature, the society and the life.The dissertation relate to the following several questions:1. At present the aesthetic characteristics of college students tend to: lack of elite culture, the pursuit of skin-deep, indulging in leisure. In addition, aesthetic culture emerged three mainstream forms: consume aesthetic culture, network aesthetic culture, fashion aesthetic culture. These aesthetic characteristics are not conducive to the healthy development of students, it is necessary to strengthen the aesthetic education in universities. The photography elective courses precisely lighten these adverse effects and help students establish healthy aesthetic consciousness.2. Progress of the times gives us the opportunity to the development of photography education. The popularity of Computers and digital cameras making photography is no longer a luxury of a small number of people. Digital photography has changed the attitude of the people, also improve the quality of teachers and equipment, and then the Diversification of photographic teaching materials as well as provide good conditions for the popularity of photography elective.3. Teaching methods envisaged. Teaching methods should be according to the r- ule of aesthetic education and photography education and the psychological character- ristics of the college students. This paper according to these aesthetic thinking of Frie- drich Schiller (Germany), Lifan, Zengfanren and Duwei has designed"Enjoy, taste→Practice, creation→Evaluation, comparison→re-creation"teaching methods. It not only emphasize the process of rational enjoy, but also emphasized the emotional expe- rience of creation. The objective is to make students aesthetic activities to form a virt- uous cycle.4. The proposals of Course design. Curriculum goal focus in effect of esthetic education, curriculum plan followed"Enjoy, taste→Practice, creation→Evaluation, comparison→re-creation"of teaching methods, the curriculum content from life aesthetic, natural aesthetic, social content and self-aesthetic aesthetic content of the four components."To promote photography elective course that Aesthetic Education is core in Universities"is the unique of this paper, its academic value is provide a theoretical reference for promote photography education.
