A Study On The Art Of Characters-depiction Of Intrigues Of The Warring States

By right of the guiding ideology, namely, my tutor Sir Wang Zhongling's well-known theory--- the renewal of integrity of literary history research and grasping of the original state, this paper takes the arts of characters-depiction of Intrigues of the Warring States as the research object. Based on the specific text and with the proper consideration of the author's creation psychology, epochal and curtural background, the illustrious arts of characters-depiction will be comprehensively reviewed.The article consists of preface, main text and the concluding remarks. The foreword aims to hackle the present study situation and deficiency of the characters-depiction arts and make a brief introduction of the research methods. There are four chapters in the main text. The concept of original contributing authors will be proposed and classified as crossbar schemer, historiographer and the amateur of Intrigues of the Warring States in the first chapter, which attempts to solve the motives for its creation. In the second chapter, an all-round analysis of the tendency on maturity of characters-depiction consciousness, concrete to say, the depiction consciousness of the central figures, a lot of application of fiction and imagination and the compiling style based on figures will be carried out and thus set up one reasonable logical starting point for this study. The third chapter concerns the summary and great achievements of various skills of character depictions of this masterpiece. While the last chapter lays particular attention to the analysis of the character images and makes an overall survey of these images'epochal significance and referential value by four kinds of typical character images. At last, the concluding remarks will generalize the whole text and reaffirm the integrity of the arts of character depictions of Intrigues of the Warring States.
