This article uses the method of unification between logic and history to probe into the origin of the Confucian's conception of heaven and man, to review the logical development of the Confucian's conception of heaven and man in pre-Qin, the Han Dynasty, in the Song and Ming Dynasty. Confucian's conception of heaven and man stems from the idea of communication between god and man. Confucius'conception of heaven and man is humanism criticism to the idea of communication between god and man. Yi Zhuan developed a new conception of heaven and man by the synthesis of Confucius'humanism idea and Laozi'naturalist thought. Xunzi criticized several earlier conceptions of heaven and man in pre-Qin period, and delivered the thought of distinction between heaven and man. In Han Dynasty Confucian's conception of heaven and man is mainly Interaction between heaven and man, which enables Dong Zhongshu to become the representative person, takes its rationale by theory of yin and yang and five elements, and has close relation with politics. Under the background of Three Religions in One, Neo-Confucianists of the Song and Ming Dynasties proved conception of heaven and man from the ontology aspect. The majority of Neo-Confucianists insisted Syncretism between Heaven and Man, but Wang Fuzhi embarked from this basic viewpoint of distinction between heaven and man, and carried on the profound summary to Neo-Confucianists'conception of heaven and man. This becomes the highest theoretic achievement of the Confucian's conception of heaven and man.Confucian's thought of distinction between heaven and man has not been taken in China traditional culture. However, the idea of Syncretism between Heaven and Man has the profound influence from ideological content and thoughtway to China traditional culture.Reviewing the logical development of the Confucian's conception of heaven and man, We find that the development power of Confucian's conception of heaven and man is not the inherent contradictions between Human and natural but political and ethical factors.
