With the development of translation theory, many issues referring to translation frequently appear. Conflicts between translatability and untranslatability of literary style, which are also what this thesis discusses, become the focus.Style includes linguistic factors and non-linguistic factors, among which linguistic factors mean linguistic characteristics and rhetoric methods while non-linguistic factors mean the writer's distinctive spirit and creative personality. Each writer has his/her own characteristics and then the style of each literary work is fashioned.Style is translatable because the deep structure of any language is equivalent. People of different languages and cultures think in the same way. That is the principle of isomorphism. At present, in translation between the two languages, the best way to overcome the difficulties is to seek equivalent existing in the deep structure of the two languages, breaking away from restriction on surface structure. Therefore functional equivalent theory is theoretical basis for translatability of style and communicative translation offers theoretical support and practical method. After the literature reviews and theoretical framework are introduced, the author advocates that in the translated version, translator's style and the author's style should be harmonious, instead of giving up or blindly pursuing either one. Finally the author presents some strategies of style translation and makes the case study on some typical aspects of style translation.
