The eye movements of 60 subjects of Grade 2 in junior high school, Grade 2 in senior high school and Grade 2 in college are monitored during doing modal reasoning. The experimental results are demonstrated as follows:1.The eye-movement pattern of reasoning among different grade students shows different.Between Grade 2 in junior high school and Grade 2 in college, the difference in trail fixation total, average fix, fixation count and pupil size is significant.Between Grade 2 in junior high school and Gradel in senior high school, the difference in fixation count is significant,The differences above show that modal reasoning ability of students was gradually enhanced with the growth of age.2.Working Memory Capacity(WMC)affect reasoning.Between the High WMC and the Low WMC of grade 2 in junior high school, the difference in fixation, saccade amplitude, fixation count,IA dwell time and IA fixation count is significant.Between the High WMC and the Low WMC of grade 2 in senior high school, the difference in fixation is significant.Between the High WMC and the Low WMC of grade 2 in college, the difference in IA first fixation duration is significant.3.The eye-movement pattern the High WMC and the Low WMC among different grades in reasoning shows different. For the High WMC among grade 2 in junior high school, senior high school and college,IA first fixation duration,IA dwell time and IA fixation count are decrease, while for the Low WMC among grade 2 in junior high school, senior high school and college,IA first fixation duration is decrease, but IA dwell time and IA fixation count are increase.Between grade 2 in junior high school and college of the High WMC and the Low WMC,the difference in IA first fixation and fixation count is significant.
