The study aim to investigate the difference of impairment effect in RSVP (rapid serial visual presentation) between which positively and negatively emotional words suffered from negatively emotional taboo items with high arousal (taboo words or taboo pictures) in immediate memory. The first study adopts a mixed design:2( positive or negative emotional words groups) * 2 (taboo words or neutral words conditions). The former is experimental variables, the latter is invariables. The second study is the same except that taboo words and neutral words are changed with taboo or neutral pictures. We present words or pictures in RSVP model and participants were asked for reporting the words in Song patterns in order immediately. We need 360 participants in the two studies in sum. Each study needs 180 participants. The result proved:The difference of interference positive and negative emotional words suffered is concerned with arousal level of taboo items and valence consistency and order of positive and negative emotiona words presented.(1) When taboo words are presented the words impair the memories of E-1 positive emotional words, but don't do it to E-1 negative emotional words. They impair the memories of E+1positive emotional words more than that of E+l negative emotional words. They don't impair both of E-2 negative and E-2 positive emotional words.(2) When taboo pictures are presented taboo pictures lead higher emotional arousal than taboo words. Taboo pictures impair the memories of same neighbor order negative and positive emotional words (E-1,E-2,E+1) indifferently.(3) resource priority hypothesis but not binding priority hypothesis.
