Corpus is a collection of linguistic data, either compiled as written texts or as a transcription of recorded speech. The main purpose of a corpus is to verify a hypothesis about language - for example, to determine how the usage of a particular sound, word, or syntactic construction varies.Nowadays, corpus is becoming more and more important not only in the field of linguistics and language engineering itself, but even more in many fields of application. And many experts are becoming active in applied research of corpus. At the same time, corpus technology has been seldom introduced to Chinese teaching. It is also a new problem how corpus linguistics can be applied as a aid tool of Chinese teaching.According to the perspective of teaching strategies, this thesis elaborates on the ways of applying individual corpus in Chinese teaching. The research reveals that corpus-based contextualization of teaching materials not only is a crucial measure on the curricula reform , but also will play important role on improvement of student's competence in learning independently.This thesis makes lot of research on the current situation of corpus application in Chinese teaching, the necessity and feasibility of the creation of individual teaching corpus. Some And some useful suggestions are given to apply individual corpus to the Chinese teaching. For example, as we all know, among the four skills of Chinese language, listening, speaking, reading and writing, the listening is the most basic, and the most important skill. After researching on some problems on the middle school listening teaching, this thesis designs an Individual Corpus out of the class, and shows how it can help teachers to improve the skill of designing the self-study activities During the Chinese teaching and learning.In addition, based on the theory and methods of other related subjects and previous research findings, this thesis analyzes some famous corpora, discusses how to construct corpus for the Chinese learning, including training of oral Chinese and so on.Today, the development of application software for corpus has promoted the corpus-based Chinese teaching, however the applied research of corpus in Chinese teaching is also a challenging field. It is alse an important aspect of contemporary corpus study. So, we must attach more importance to it.
