Three Specifically Stylistic Adjectives In Shanghai Dialect

The focal point of this thesis is meticulous depiction and analysis about a few special structural forms in Shanghai dialect. One is the"AA Jiao"form with the adjectival suffix and suffix of"Jiao"; One is the"ABB"form with the monosyllabic adjective and overlapping suffix; One is the topical pattern"ABA"form. The thesis has meticulous depicted and analysed about the three forms. It analyses the characteristic of the three types at the sentence structure,meaning and pragmatics, and expounds the characteristic about the special forms of Shanghai dialect from the angle that the basic meaning and additional meaning of these words get abundant gradually in the application.The first chapter:"AA Jiao"form. The thesis has a meticulous study at the structural elements,sentence structure,pragmatics,comparing the similar form"Lao Lao A"with"AA Jiao". It also expounds the pronunciation and developing trend.The second chapter:"ABB"form. The thesis has a meticulous study at the structural elements,the characteristic of the sentence structure,the characteristic of the meaning and pragmatics about the adjectivally lively"ABB"form of Shanghai dialect.The third chapter: Analyzing the topical pattern"ABA"form. The thesis has a specific study about the meaning and pragmatics. The thesis depicts eight subordinate items about parataxis,transition,concession,estimation,emphasis and exaggeration,emphasis and affirmation,emphasis and completion,emphasis and disavowal.The fourth chapter: The thesis farther expounds the enrichment and enlargement in the basic meaning and additional meaning of the correlative words. It discusses the issues about the addition of the semantics'member and the enlargement of the scope,the flexibility of the pragmatics'expression.
