With the development of the Internet and globalization of the world economy, E-business is becoming increasingly popular and E-business English is being widely popularized. In China, E-business English is developing fast, which calls for an intensive study of its language characteristics. Moreover, as there exist problems concerning the translation of E-business English, it is imperative to make a study of its translation. This thesis is intended mainly to discuss the main principles, proper approaches and techniques for translation of E-business English into Chinese.First, this thesis briefly reviews relevant researches and states the necessity of the research before it mentions the research perspectives and methods and points out the arrangement and content of the thesis. Next, the thesis briefly discusses the necessary basic theories of translation, and explores the major features of E-business English. After that, the thesis makes an attempt to probe into applicability of the two most common translation approaches to the translation of E-business English. Plenty of typical examples are analyzed and personal comments are made, proving that the literal translation approach is most appropriate for translation of E-business English and is most often used, and that the liberal translation approach is quite necessary and feasible on some occasions. Afterwards, the thesis moves on to discuss and illustrate general techniques for translation of E-business English. After that, it investigates and exemplifies translation of various English clauses and that of the passive voice and negative sentences in E-business English texts. Finally, it presents an analysis of the translations of some E-business English sentences.This thesis is of theoretical significance and practical value.
