The Literature Thoughts Of Wangyi

WangYi(1321一1372), lived in Yiwu, Zhejiang Province, whoseanother name was Zizhong. He was one of the most famous literatorsand historians in the late Yuan and early Ming Dynasity. WangYilearned from HuangJin and LiuGuan. He and SongLian were both famouswriters in early Ming Dynastiy, and were the most importantrepresentatives of East-Zhejiang School. His literature works werevery abundant. Today we can still find his 24 Volume of Wang ZhongwenCollected Works. When the Emperor ZhuYuanzhang organized schoolarscompiling The history of Yuan Dynastiy, he and his good friendSongLian were the editors in chief.As the most important leading exponent of East-Zhejiang School inlate Yuan and early Ming, WangYi had made outstanding contributionsin several fields, especially in literature and history. Theresearchers have paid close attentions to WangYi's thoughts, but payvery attention to his literature. His literature accomplishmentaccepts a defilade to certain extent. In this paper, it tries tobegin with the cause that literature accomplishment blocks of WangYi,to discuss the causes of blocking WangYi's literature accomplishment,such as his Qijie, his history accomplishments, his early death andthe researchers paying more attention to his friend SongLian and soon. Based on this, we tries to reveal the history realities ofWangYi's literature accomplishment, and carries out the significancestudy on WangYi's literature thoughts.Study on WangYi alone, we will begin with his thoughts, andthrough Wang Zhongwen Collected Works, to describe the psychologythought of respecting saints in this paper. With the influence of histeacher, his family and other subjective or objective factors, WangYichanged his thought directly as contribution behaviors, including politics and literature mainly, and showed hankering to politics.There were three stages in his life, he trying to enter politicsactively in every stage, but failed ultimately. In this paper, we tryto find the causes of his failure, which possibly can perceivedifficult position of the literators in those days, and announce thedeep causes that the literature changing happened.WangYi's thoughts had directly impacted to his view toliterature. His thoughts of respecting saints had impacted his viewto classification, function and aesthetic of literature, which hadcomposed his literature thoughts. The thoughts had directly guidedhis literature creation and his valuation to literature, which led tohis literature creation having kept high consistency with his thoughton subjectivity. Although, with the changes of the environment atthat time and his individual condition, it made a certain distancebetween his literature creation and his thought, which displaying thedifference on objective. We will study in a deep going way to hisliterature works. And from this, we do a series meticulousinvestigation and discussion to his literature thought, literatureevaluation standards and literature creation. And then, we can cometo know the relevant problems such as cultural environment,literators'idea, and literature changes from Yuan to Early Ming.With this research, it can help to resume WangYi's position in thehistory of Chinese literature.
