A Perspective Of The Rock & Roll In Lanzhou

The rock & roll belongs to the pop music, but it is different from the general pop music, so it is called the non-mainstream music. The rock has 50-year history in the world and also more than 20 years in China. There are many good works and bands with native style of China. Lanzhou is one of the four bases of rock in China. The rock in Lanzhou has been expressing true feeling to music, hometown, motherland, peace, life and all happy things in its own way. For example, Wild Children's songs belong to the style of folk songs which named "flower" in Gansu and so on. In recent years, as the scale of Lanzhou bands are getting bigger and bigger and the exchange performances are getting more and more in China , the influence of rock in Lanzhou is also become more and more important. While there are few systematic introductions and analysises about the history and present situation of rock in Lanzhou.With the title of "The Perspective of the Rock in Lanzhou", this thesis researches on the rock in Lanzhou. This thesis is composed of five parts, and its main content is as follow. The first part introduces the purpose and significance of this thesis. The second part is a survey of the history of the rock in Lanzhou. A brief review and introduction are included in this part. The third part does a body research of the rock music in Lanzhou. Taking several active bands as examples, the author introduces and analyzes the style, lyrics and music creation of the work of the rock in Lanzhou. The fourth part does an objective research on the rock of Lanzhou, including existing space, influencing factors, and social culture relations and existing questions. The last part gives several thoughts on the development of the rock in Lanzhou.
