A Study On Agricultural Techniques In Dunhuang During Tang And Five Dynasties

According to manuscripts of Dunhuang, murals and other historical materials, this thesis systematically expatiates on the agricultural techniques in Dunhuang during Tang Dynasty and Five Dynasties on the base of former researches.This thesis consists of two parts: The first part expounds the agricultural implements that were used in Dunhuang during Tang and Five Dynasties including tillage implements, sowing implements, tending implements, irrigated implements, reaping implements and conveying implements. The second part narrates the agricultural techniques that were used in Dunhuang during Tang and Five Dynasties including tillage techniques, sowing techniques, tending techniques, irrigated techniques, reaping techniques and conveying techniques. The paper emphasizes the tillage techniques and the irrigated techniques.
