Objective:To investigate internet addiction disorder(IAD)among primary and middle school students in Hu'nan for the evidence of the prevention and treatment. Methods:Using the laminating and random sampling and two stages, epidemiologic research methods, with the child psychi-handicap screen scales and half format diagnosis check scale(K-SADS-PL), 9495 students of the primary and middle school students distributed in six areas of Hu'nan were investigated.IAD group and control group were asked individually to fill in the Children's self-concept Scale, the parents nurture mode scale, family cohesion and the adaptivity scale and so on.The students with the suspect of mental retardation, catholicity developmental disorders and learning disorders also fulfilled the association RuiWen intelligence test and the standardization achievement test. The data bases were established by the FoxPro6.0,and the statistical analysis were carried out by the Windows statistics software SPSS11.5.Results:1.The overall prevalence was 1.48%.The male 2.53%was higher than female 0.25%,and the ratio was 11.8:1 with the significant difference (x~2=94.7,P=0.000);countryside was lower than city with the significant difference(x~2=7.742,P=0.005)There was significant difference(x~2=78.813,P=0.000)among various age groups, with the highest rate in 15 years old group.2.The overall coexistence rate was 78.00%,with the highest rate in generalized anxiety disorder(GAD)(15.60%),then learning disorder(LD) (12.06%),oppositional defiant disorder(ODD)(11.35%),conduct disorder(CD)(10.64%),the depression(8.51%),and the social phobia (4.96%).3.Children's self-concept Scale showed the total score factor (t=8.932,P<0.01),behavior factor(t=9.814,P<0.01),anxiety factor (t=5.380,P<0.01),the factor of getting on well with others(t=6.201, P<0.01),happiness factor(t=5.501,P<0.01),and the body factor(t=2.233, P<0.05)were lower than those of the control group.4.The parents nurture mode appraisal scale showed that father's emotional warmth factor(t=-5.315,P<0.01),father's punishment factor (t=-3.059,P<0.01),father's excessive interference factor(t=-5.595, P<0.01),father's favoritism factor(t=-3.855,P<0.01),father's rejection of deny factor(t=-3.869,P<0.01),father's excessive protection factor (t=-3.499,P<0.01),mother's emotional warmth factor(t=-3.239,P<0.01), mother's excessive interference factor(t=-4.197,P<0.01),mother's rejection factor(t=-3.613,P<0.01),mother's punishment factor(t=-2.961, P<0.01)and mother's favoritism factor(t=-2.073,P<0.05)were higher in the LAD group than those of the control group.5.The family cohesion and the adaptivity scale showd that family realistic cohesion factor(t=4.579,P<0.01)and family actual adaptivity factor(t=2.653,P<0.01)were lower in the IAD group than those of the control group;the second satisfaction degree(t=-2.753,P<0.01)and the first satisfaction degree(t=-2.753,P<0.05)were higher in the IAD group than those of the control group.Conclusion:1.The overall prevalence was 1.48%,the male's prevalence was remarkably higher than the female's,and countryside's prevalence was lower than city's.2.The overall coexistence rate was 78.00%,with the highest rate in generalized anxiety disorder(GAD),then learning disorder(LD), oppositional defiant disorder(ODD),conduct disorder(CD),the depression, and the social phobia and so on.3.IAD students had the low level of self-concept.4.IAD students had the poor home education and the bad family cohesion and the adaptivity.
