The Research Of GuYing And YuShan Literati Party

GuYing is one of the most famous figure in the later Yuan Dynasty. He had been elected as the master of the literary circle together with YanWeizhen by WanShizhen and GuSili. During an extended civil war in later Yuan Dynasty, GuYing had taken charge of YUShan Literati Party prolonged for twenty years with resorts to his financial resources, individual character, as well as talent in literary. There were more than two hundred literati who come to YnShan garden house. There were three thousand poets which have been reserved as yet. And Yu Shan literati was the one of most influential group of poets. The YuShan literati Party mastered by GuYing was the largest, the longest and the most fruitful literati group, and it has played an irreplaceable role in the whole history of Chinese literature.This thesis carries thorough study upon the formation, development of GuYing's mentality and pays much attention to his different lifestages in which it appears various performances. At the sametime, this thesis also explains the special mentality and great influence of GuYing and his YuShan literati Party through introducing background, local culture, experience and poem composition. This thesis is divided into five parts. The first part draws the outline of Gu Ying's psychological course by reviewing his biography and composition. Gu Ying was not a natural hermit as used thought. He had pursued official rank and achievement in his early years, then, assisted his farther in business. In middle age, Gu Ying had an idea of dedicating himself to the service of country in one time, but bad political environment did not provided him a stage which he can display his talent. Felling very depressed, he retreated from it. Finally, he chose to be a hermit in his late years. Although he had declined official position several times, it did not mean that he had no desire for official career at all. Retrospecting Gu ying 's life, he was faithful in the rein of Mongolia all the time. it would be better to regard as a choice for survival in wartime. The second part puts the emphasis on the composition of GuYing's poems. By investigated his life course, this part analyses GuYing's poems which created in different situation, and summaried his poetic feature. The third part, carrys out investigation on formation and characteristics of YuShan litertai Party. The fouth part, at the angle of thematic tendency, poetic characteristic, artistic feature, probe into the poems composed by YuShan literati when they attended art salon. The last part explains great influence of GuYing and its YuShan literti Party in the later ages. This study really helps us understand GuYing's poem composition and mentality. GuYing liked a kind of life that he could live not only freely but also elegantly. As a famous poet of the later Yuan dynasty, GuYing gave much influence on the sergeant fashion in Wuzhong. Guying has been admired by later generations, roots in his contribution in cultural cause during the chaos. Under elaboration of GuYing, the literary circles in later Yuan Dynasty appeared a climax of poet creation,which is quite incongruous with the background of wars and chaos. YuShan literati Party mastered by GuYing not only made a stir, but also affected several dynasty. It has enriched and expanded styles of literati party in the later ages, in addition,it led to variety in psychology and living style of literati in Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty.
