A Study Of Yujianwu And Yuxin's Poem Comparison

Thesis:Yujianwu and Yuxin were the famous poets in Liang dynasty. They created many poems with high quality. This article is consisted of four parts. The foreword generalize the present research of their poems and the development space. The first chapter study Yujianwu and Yuxin's family history, explain the influence of their family members. In the second part elaborate the two's experience, official career in separately. Find out the historical event and the life experience which affected them. Both of them had lived in the peaceful age of Liang dynasty, so the social background and ideological tend in that time became the important factor in their creation. The social ideological of Liang dynasty manifested the characteristic that mixed of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. However, the imperial family's attention and advocate also effected their poems. In the second chapter, classify their poems. Yujianwu's poems including five kinds: the flatter poems, the poems which describing female, the sorrowful poems of disorder society, the poems describing objects and the privacy poems. Yuxin's poems including: the flatter poems, the poems which describing female, the poems which express the mood of diplomatic mission , the"thinking of the native place"poems, the poems describing objects and the privacy poems. Compare Yujianwu's poems with Yuxin's, he lacked the poems which express the mood of diplomatic mission and the "thinking of the native place" poems. But he had the sorrowful poems of disorder society of his own. Form the content and the theme, they had similarity in flatter poems, the poems describing female and the poems describing objects. Both of them were good at portray scenery, show the nature . Although both of them created the privacy poems, Yujianwu's creation was stems from the belief of Taoism and the admiring of immortality life. Different form his father, most of Yuxin's privacy poems show contradictory psychology when he was in North dynasty. Between Yujianwu's sorrowful poems and Yuxin's "thinking of native place"poems, they both displayed the pain of lost homeland, because they had experienced the "Houjing confusion". But the former's grief was only restricted in perisheing country, the latter's grief contained the pain of perishing country, the sadness of experience when he enter North dynasty and the thinking of homeland. Therefore during their creation, Yuxin's works has appeared profound content. In the third chapter, carry on the comparison of their poem's style and technique. Just like the poem structure, the expression of feeling, the utilization of intention, the poem rules of tonal pattern and the using of allusion. As a result of these comparisons, Yuxin was good at constructing the poetry structure, expressing feeling indirectly, using systematized image, skillfully using allusion. Compared with Yuxin, Yujianwu was low in these aspects. He always expressed feeling straightly. As for using tonal pattern and seek words, both of them were excellent. The fourth chapter, discuss their influence. Yujianwu's poetry done well in using the rules of tonal pattern, seek words, and copying the scenery. So he enhanced the technique of "palace poem". Besides he changed the custom that only pay attention to the woman's appearance in palance poets. Yuxin's influence is tremendous. His porty fused the north and the south literary style. And he became one of the most important poets in china.
